HARNESS THE POWER OF PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
A non-surgical facelift uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from the patients own blood. PRP is the concentrated platelet-rich plasma. After the individual's blood is drawn, it is spun in a centrifuge, and the platelet-rich portion is isolated. The PRP is then injected into areas of degeneration to stimulate collagen repair and restructure. Degeneration of the skin is what causes wrinkles, bags underneath the eyes, skin sagging, etc. The platelet rich portion of the blood has growth factors that stimulate healing and rejuvenation of the skin. PRP also stimulates stem cells that begin to restore and rebuild tissue toward a more youthful state. PRP helps to restore and plump areas of depleted volume, soften facial contours and rejuvenate the facial appearance.
PRP can be injected into these areas:
Cheeks and nasolabial folds to decrease signs of aging and correct volume loss
Lips that increase the volume
Under the eyes to correct "bags" underneath the eyes
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Within the first few hours, you will have full volume correction in the areas injected with plumpness as if injected from a filler (Juvederm, Restalyn, Voluma). The volume will start to decrease within a few days and then will begin to increase again after the collagen begins to regenerate. Volume correction will happen over the next 1-6 months. Therefore more treatments are recommended at the beginning of the series to build a strong collagen producing foundation.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
You will be instructed to avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours post injections. You will likely experience mild to moderate swelling of the treated area; this will last for about 12- 24 hours; ice or cold compresses can be applied to reduce swelling if required. You may also notice a tingling sensation while the cells are activated. You may resume your normal activities within 24 hours of injection.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
We recommend a series of 3-6 treatments per area injected to build a strong collagen producing foundation. Usually, the first series of treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart and then a maintenance treatment of injections every 3 months to 1 year after that is recommended.
