RESTORE YOUR HAIR, NATURALLY
HARNESS THE POWER OF PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
PRP therapy for hair loss is an exciting non-surgical treatment for patient's experiencing hair loss that requires the stimulation of hair growth. The treatment involves withdrawing the patient's blood, processing it in a centrifuge so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remain, and injecting it into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins that stimulate natural hair growth.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Immediately following the PRP injections, you can expect slight swelling of the injected area. Pain is minimal as a numbing agent is used and slight bruising may occur at sight of injection.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
You will be instructed to avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours post injections. You will likely experience mild to moderate swelling of the treated area; this will last for about 12- 24 hours; ice or cold compresses can be applied to reduce swelling if required. You may also notice a tingling sensation while the cells are being activated. You may resume your normal activities within 24 hours of injection.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
We recommend a series of 4-8 treatments to stimulate follicle growth development. Usually, the first series of treatments are spaced 4 weeks apart and then a maintenance treatment of injections every 3 months is recommended.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PRP HAIR LOSS RESTORATION?
Most people suffering from hair loss can benefit from this treatment -including androgenic alopecia (male patterned baldness), FPHL (female patterned hair loss), Telogen Effluvium, and non-scarring alopecia. This therapy is not recommended for someone with scarring alopecia.
IS THIS A CURE FOR HAIR LOSS?
No. There are many contributing factors to hair loss, genetics being one of them. You will need continued treatments 3-6 months apart after your initial starter package to maintain the hair growth for your hair cycle. Due to this reason, we recommend doing a full medical work up to go with your treatments.
